Full speed ahead for René Barnett Entertainment
2009-11-17 02:17:19 – Bloodline producer goes solo with full slate of projects
(HOLLYWOOD) Veteran movie and television producer René Barnett is flying solo with a slate of multimedia projects under the banner of her new company, René Barnett Entertainment.
Barnett, who produced the controversial and critically-acclaimed nonfiction film Bloodline, is in pre-production on a new film project, developing a children’s television program with Dig magazine, producing the June 2010 EsoteriKon conference in Washington,
D.C., and, with adventurer Ben Hammott, working toward an agreement with the French government to excavate the tomb at the center of the Bloodline mystery.
The announcement comes days after Barnett officially ended her decade-long association with Bluebook Films and partner Bruce Burgess, the director of Bloodline. Barnett and her 1244 Films LLC own Bloodline and plan to expand its exploitation in other media.
Barnett most recently produced a reality clip series for the Fox Reality Channel, which is now airing in international markets.
Her current film project focuses on the history of music in Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon, and is being produced in association with Frozen Pictures (Cloud 9, The Seventh Python).
EsoteriKon is a “hidden mysteries” conference which will focus on “suppressed history, including data regarding science, archeology and religion– everything from the origins of our species to the systematic apparent destruction of religious and philosophical thought, and the secret societies and others who have protected and passed along this information through writings, art and other means for over a thousand years.” It is billed as “not your mother’s hidden mysteries conference, but the mother of all hidden mysteries conferences.”
Dig! is a children’s series focusing on history, archeology and fun.
The very busy René Barnett is also hosting and producing the NightVision Radio show and Dancing with Ghosts with psychic medium Rebecca Fearing.
Additional project announcements are expected soon.
